Hi, We are J.D. & Jenny Gunter. We have always enjoyed making things... even before we met and fell in love at art school at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Jenny has been a freelance graphic designer since 2005 and she has also always loved making handmade books. She loves to be able to hold a product that she has made in her hands. The laser cutter wonderfully brings these two worlds together. We can design things (books covers, signs, earrings, Christmas ornaments) on the computer, push a button and in no time they are real. 

Over the years, Jenny has worked on a wide range of projects including logos, brochures, programs, invitations, announcements, and book layouts. Her clients range from individuals to multi-national corporations. They operate in multiple industries including building construction/management, healthcare, event planning, non profit, photography & politics.

J.D. has recently left his teaching career to join Jenny at Gunter Creative, LLC. He primarily works in the woodshop, including CNC machining, where creates custom signs and wood products.​
